2019-2020 Company Members

Luke Xavier

This is Luke’s fourth season as a company member with TCB, after dancing as an apprentice. A New Hampshire native, Luke has trained at New England Civic Ballet, Dean College in Massachusetts and Ballet Royale Minnesota, and has danced with Lostwax Multimedia Dance in Rhode Island. Luke has danced many featured roles with Twin Cities Ballet, including the Impresario in “Coppelia Nouveau,” the Creature in TCB original production “Victor,” the Cavalier in “A Minnesota Nutcracker,” and Pink in “The Wall: A Rock Ballet.”

Natalie Rossi

A Georgia native, this is Natalie’s fifth full season with TCB, after previously dancing as a guest artist. Natalie graduated from the pre-professional program at International City School of Ballet, and was a trainee with the Richmond Ballet. She has won bronze and silver medals at the Youth America Grand Prix. Natalie has also danced with the Montgomery Ballet and Charleston Ballet Theatre. Natalie has danced lead roles in TCB’s original productions including Swanilda in “Coppélia Nouveau” Cinderella in “Cinderella 1944: A Love Story,” and the Sugar Plum Fairy in “A Minnesota Nutcracker.”

Marissa Debenedictis

This is Marissa’s fourth season with TCB. Marissa has danced with Chicago Repertory Ballet, Thodos Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chciago, and a second company member with Atlanta Ballet. Marissa performed in Ruth Page’s production of Nutcracker as the role of “Marzipan” and “Snow,” and has appeared in Atlanta’s Ballet’s productions of “Cinderella” and Michael Pinks “Dracula. With TCB she has danced many featured roles including Snow Queen, Spanish Pas de Deux, and Flower Queen in “A Minnesota Nutcracker,” Mother in Pink Floyd’s “The Wall: A Rock Ballet,” the Diva in “Coppélia Nouveau.”

Micah Chermak

Micah rejoins TCB for his third season, after dancing here in 2013-14. He has danced with PDX Contemporary Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theater, St. Paul Ballet, Ballet Tucson, Milwaukee Ballet, Artifact Dance Project, and the Portland Opera, dancing principal and soloist roles including Hilarion in Giselle, Puck in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty, and Sigfried in Swan Lake. Micah has a MFA from the University of Arizona School of Dance and a BFA in Ballet and BA in Liberal Studies from Friends University in Wichita KS, and is married to fellow TCB dancer Yellie Chermak.

Lauren Ganther

This is Lauren’s second season with TCB. Originally from Appleton, WI she trained with Jeanette Makaroff and has a BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory. Lauren danced with Jose Mateo Ballet theatre for five seasons, dancing principal roles including Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen and roles created for her by the director José Mateo. She has also danced with Convergence Ballet Company, Fukudance, and Neos Dance Theatre.

Antonio Lopez

This is Antonio’s second season with TCB. Antonio began his training with Ballet Repertory Theater of New Mexico in the fall of 2011 and continued as a company member until 2013. He then trained at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and attended various summer intensives including Joffrey Ballet NYC, Walnut Hill, CPYB, and Alonzo King Lines Ballet. Antonio has danced locally with St. Paul Ballet, Ashley Ballet Arts Academy, Children’s Dance Theater, Rochester Dance Company, and St. Lucie Ballet.

Yellie Chermak

This is Yellie’s second season with TCB. Yellie trained with Dayton Ballet and danced professionally with Ithaca Ballet, Ballet Austin, as a soloist with Alabama Ballet and Ballet Tucson. She has danced a wide range of roles, including Snow Queen, Dew Drop, Jewels and Benevolence Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. She was highlighted and muse to Roger Van Flueteren in Messin with Mozart. Yellie is married to fellow TCB dancer Micah Chermak.
