Natalie Rossi

A Georgia native, Natalie has been dancing with TCB since 2014, after previously dancing as a guest artist. Natalie trained in the pre-professional program at International City School of Ballet, and was a trainee with the Richmond Ballet. She has won bronze and silver medals at the Youth America Grand Prix. Natalie has also danced with the Montgomery Ballet and Charleston Ballet Theatre. With TCB Natalie has danced many lead roles including Swanilda in Coppélia Nouveau, Cinderella in Cinderella 1944: A Love Story, Beauty in Beauty & The Beast, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Arabian Lead in A Minnesota Nutcracker, and Lucy in Narnia: The Ballet.

Marissa Debenedictis

Marissa has been dancing with TCB since 2015; a Chicago native, she has also danced with Chicago Repertory Ballet, Thodos Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Atlanta Ballet. With TCB Marissa has danced many lead roles including Snow Queen and Flower Queen in A Minnesota Nutcracker, the bravura Pas de Deux Flames of Paris, the Diva in the world premiere of Coppélia Nouveau, featured roles in the ballets RED and Classicana, the Spirit of the Rose in Beauty & The Beast, the Mother in The Wall: A Rock Ballet, and the White Witch in in TCB’s original Narnia: The Ballet.

Micah Chermak

Micah has been dancing with TBC since 2017,  and previously danced a season here in 2013-14. With TCB he has danced the lead roles of Nutcracker in A Minnesota Nutcracker, the Doctor in The Wall: A Rock Ballet, Moonlight Sonata Pas de Deux from Classicana, and both Mr. Tumnus and Mr. Beaver in TCB’s original Narnia: The Ballet. He has also danced with PDX Contemporary Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theater, Milwaukee Ballet, and the Portland Opera. Micah has a MFA from the University of Arizona School of Dance and a BFA in Ballet and BA in Liberal Studies from Friends University in Wichita KS. He is married to fellow TCB dancer Yellie Chermak.

Michelle Ludwig

Michelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas with B.A’s in K-12 education and Spanish, as well as a dance minor from Macalester College.  She began her training under the direction of Juli Mickelson and the Dance Endeavors team.  Michelle began her professional dance career in Minnesota with St. Paul Ballet and Ballet Co. Laboratory where she had the opportunity to perform many soloist and principal roles. Ms. Ludwig has also worked with a variety of contemporary choreographers including: Joseph Morrissey, Diane Coburn Bruning and more. Michelle was a founding member of the Twin Cities Ballet company and is excited to return to Twin Cities Ballet for her second season.

Anthony Schweighardt

Hailing from Hickory North Carolina, Anthony Schweighardt is new to the Twin Cities area and this is his first season with TCB. He started his professional career with Charlotte Ballet and has since danced with Ballet Tucson, Carolina Ballet Theatre and Ballet Virginia. Anthony holds various certifications in pilates, personal training and ballet. He also has a private pilates studio in Minneapolis. Some of his hobbies include both watching and playing basketball, yoga, paintball, chess, board games in general and cooking. A fun fact about Anthony is that he is the oldest of 15 children.

Associate Company Dancers

Lauren Ganther

Lauren has been dancing with TCB since 2017. Originally from Wisconsin, she has a BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory. Lauren danced with Jose Mateo Ballet theatre for five seasons, dancing principal classical roles and roles specifically created for her by the director, and has also danced with Convergence Ballet Company and Neos Dance Theatre. With TCB her lead roles include the Sugar Plum Fairy and Arabian Lead in A Minnesota Nutcracker, the Wife in The Wall: A Rock Ballet, The Firebird in the original Pas de Deux, Firebird: Essence of Being, and Susan in in TCB’s original Narnia: The Ballet.

Yellie Chermak

Yellie has been dancing with TCB since 2017. Yellie trained with Dayton Ballet and danced professionally with Ithaca Ballet, Ballet Austin, and as a soloist with Alabama Ballet and Ballet Tucson. In addition to Mirliton Lead and Flower Princess, Yellie has danced Mrs. Beaver in TCB’s original Narnia: The Ballet. Yellie is married to fellow TCB dancer Micah Chermak.

Company Apprentices

Christian Moore

A Minnesota native, this is Christian’s third year as a TCB Apprentice. He began dancing at 19 years of age and attended college at North Central University. Prior to joining TCB, Christian served eight years in the Air Force, including a tour in Iraq, and is an award winning dance photographer who has worked with dance companies, studios and dancers across the United States.

Kotomi Iwase

A native of Japan, this is Kotomi’s second season as an Apprentice with TCB. Kotomi has also danced Flower Princess and Spanish Lead in TCB’s A Minnesota Nutcracker, and the Moonlight Sonata Pas de Deux from TCB’s original work, Classicana.
