TCB’s full-length professional production of A Minnesota Nutcracker ballet is a cherished holiday tradition for thousands, and one of the most attended holiday events in the Twin Cities.
This fresh rendition retains all the magic and traditions of TCB’s original
beloved classic—but with a Minnesota twist!
A Minnesota Nutcracker features Minnesota settings and custom designed and painted Minnesota-centric backdrops.
Accompanied by the iconic
Tchaikovsky music, Clara, Drosselmeyer, and guests dance and dream from
historic Rice Park and Summit Avenue in St. Paul, to the snowy banks of
the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, to the magnificent palace of the
Sugar Plum Fairy. A Minnesota Nutcracker, promises delightful entertainment for the whole family, from ballet novices to loyal patrons alike.
As part of its outreach initiatives, every year since its inception in 2003 TCB also performs a special daytime performance of The Nutcracker for Elementary and Special Education students.
