Art in Motion: Ballet Spooktacular
October 26–27, 2018, Lakeville Area Arts Center

Celebrate Halloween with a special interactive performance event featuring
mythical and magical creatures, a creative costume contest, and culminating with an interactive zombie dance! The performance features dances choreographed for the Halloween season, followed by a reception of spooktacular treats and refreshments, during which time you can meet the dancers, directors, and choreographers.

There will also be a Family-Friendly performance of this Halloween production on October 27, 2018


Mini-Nutcracker
November 27, 2018, Lakeville Area Arts Center

The Mini-Nutcracker is a delightful abbreviated version of Twin Cities Ballet's classic, 'A Minnesota Nutcracker', designed to introduce children to the magic of the family favorite. This beloved holiday tradition with soaring music by Tchaikovsky promises to hold the attention of even the youngest theatergoer. Suitable for all ages, this version is less than an hour and is performed by cast members Twin Cities Ballet's full-length production. A perfect holiday mini-treat!

 

A Minnesota Nutcracker
December 7–9, 2018, Ames Center

Don't miss out! One of the most attended holiday events in the Twin Cities, selling out every show prior to opening night. With a Minnesota twist on the holiday classic, A Minnesota Nutcracker promises delightful entertainment for the whole family, from ballet novices to loyal patrons alike!

 

Pink Floyd'sThe Wall: A Rock Ballet
January 11–13, 2019, Ames Center

Due to popular demand, TCB’s original full-length Rock Ballet Pink Floyd’s “The Wall,” with live music by the band Run Like Hell, returns to the stage! This groundbreaking event—a Minnesota first—features an incredible collaboration of local artists: choreographers, dancers, and musicians, and demonstrates TCB’s artistic vision, innovation and its dancers’ versatility.


Essence
March 1–2, 2019, The Cowles Center

Essence features the premiere of "Red," an all-female piece inspired by both historical events such as the rise of Nazism and fictional works such as The Handmaid’s Tale, and "The Firebird: Essence of Being," which uses excerpts from Stravinsky’s music The Firebird to explore the dynamics of cross-cultural relationships. Returning to the Cowles Center are TCB’s acclaimed "Victor Frankenstein," an introspective exploration of the thematic elements of the Gothic novel, and TCB’s popular "Classicana," which showcases the artistry, technique, musicality and precision that are the essence of quality ballet. This evening of relevant and approachable works highlights TCB’s innovation, versatility, and talent, and promises a meaningful and entertaining experience for all: long-term ballet enthusiasts, those new to ballet, and fans of contemporary dance alike. 

 

Mini-Narnia
April 20, 2019, Lakeville Area Arts Center

Mini-Narnia is a delightful abbreviated version of Twin Cities Ballet's adaptation of the classic story 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe', designed to introduce children to the magic of this family favorite. Suitable for all ages, this version is less than an hour and is performed by cast members from Twin Cities Ballet's full-length production.



Narnia: The Ballet
May 10–12, 2019, Ames Center

Based on the classic novel, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis, this production features an original story adaption of the book, original music compilation & production design, and highlights themes of Family, Pride, Greed, Courage, and Redemption.
